Many people can assist you with learning much more about yourself. Friends can help you, along with many good teachers and professionals who will explain your feelings and analyze your thoughts.
Be prepared to list your ideas wherever you are. Carry a journal or diary with you, everywhere you go. Make sure to write down as many details as possible when a new idea comes to you so you can use them later.
Act with your core values in place. Everyone has certain beliefs that reinforce their sense of self at the core. If you stay on top of your morals you will have a boost in self esteem and you will have a good base to defend them. This will also promote consistency in your life and actions, which is a trait almost everyone finds admirable.
Get some self-satisfaction by complimenting others. If you treat other people with kindness, you will be more likely to treat yourself with kindness too.
Write a pep talk about yourself. List the things that you love about yourself on a postcard. Keep it with you, and pull it out if you are feeling discouraged. Even better, read it aloud on video and watch the video often. What good would this do?
Make each day a better one than the last. Push yourself to pursue every opportunity for improvement. If you did something pretty well yesterday, tell yourself that wasn’t enough. You need to do it really well today.
Do not boast about your accomplishments. Talk to people and find out more about their own achievements. This will help you to remain humble while giving you a picture of how people around you operate.
Getting to know yourself better than anyone else is a privilege and an honor. Make sure you treat yourself well and take comfort in the fact that you understand yourself better than anyone else does.
